EpiHack / Online Course Training

Together with its partners, the Skoll Global Threats Fund took the lead in organizing and facilitating the past EpiHack events.

The many successful outcomes and products from these EpiHack events exemplify their value. This model can be productive in other parts of the world as well. However, the extension of this event around the world poses challenges on how to make it sustainable, scalable, and replicable. Having local organizations be in charge and take the lead in organizing and facilitating EpiHacks on their own is ideal.

Business On Network or BON has established EpiHack / Online Course Training with grant funding from the Skoll Global Threats Fund to support efforts to sustainably replicate EpiHack events moving forward. We collaborated with former organizers and facilitators from previous EpiHacks to create training and mentoring programs for our prospective EpiHack organizations and facilitators.  There are four free online courses.

Two fundamental courses: General Organizer Course and General Facilitator Course that consist of standard toolkits, useful materials, and practical methods on how to conduct an EpiHack event for any organization that is interested in hosting an EpiHack event.

And two advanced courses: Advanced Organizer Course and Advanced Facilitator Course, for any former EpiHack organizer/facilitator who has proven his/her organizing and/or facilitating skills in EpiHack event(s) and obtains certificate(s) from our General Course(s) to take further steps to become an EpiHack mentor.

However, these online courses are still at the early stage, we are opened for suggestions to improve our works. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, feedbacks, etc.
